I am strep B positive so I will be taking antibiotics during labor which then makes me worry more about the hemmorhagic disease--though my labor may be too fast for any of the antibiotic to get to baby because my first labor was 5 hours. So, if a child (or adult) who has HepB falls and scrapes a knee on the playground, that area is now contaminated. HepB can be contagious outside the body for at least a week, so unless you carry bleach and follow the cleanup protocol for everything your child touches, they are at risk.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
